Join United Way of Kaw Valley in Lawrence, KS, for this one-day event designed to bring Douglas County community members together for community-centered professional and personal development opportunities. We also will share a meal and a service project, assembling vital personal care product kits for those seeking services through the Ballard Center, Community Children's Center, Douglas County CASA, Lawrence Community Shelter, and Willow Domestic Violence Center.

  • Using ALICE Data for Advocacy
    ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. This growing group represents the number of families who are unable to afford the basics of housing, child care, food, transportation, health care, and technology. Members of this group often struggle to keep their own households from financial ruin, while keeping our local communities running.
